The Joint Injection Course is designed for GPs, Hospital Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics and other primary care professionals, but is also suitable for any healthcare professional looking to expand the range of treatments they offer.
All Allied Health Professionals and non-independent practitioners should confirm the education requirements with their Insurers & Professional Body prior to the practice of injection therapy. Some professions, such as Physiotherapists, require a post graduate diploma in injection therapy, which this course will not provide.

Yes! Completion of this 1 Day Joint Injection Course will gain you 6Â CPD Hours / Credits, which will be displayed on your Certificate of Completion.
The Online Joint Injection Course will cover all the practical elements, techniques and guidance required to perform Joint Injections. However, like most CPD Courses (including our in-person courses), it is not a postgraduate qualification or diploma level course, and does not on its own qualify healthcare professionals to practice joint injections independently afterwards.
The training requirements to practice joint injections independently vary both between and within professions; some require higher education (i.e. a diploma), some require CPD training such this course, followed by employer competency based assessment/clinical supervision, and some (generally independent practitioners & Doctors) require our training, supported by local mentorship, reflective practice, audit and appraisal.
If you are not a prescriber, you will also need arrangements for the steroid (+/- local anaesthetic) to be prescribed prior to treatment. This would need to be under a Patient Group Directive or Patient Specific Direction.
We have Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, and other NMC/HCPC professions attending, either to gain an excellent foundation in Joint Injections, or as a CPD refresher/up-skill for existing practitioners.
Yes! We are always delighted to have Trainees, Medical Students, FYs & STs completing our Online Joint Injection Course. You’ll find it an excellent introduction to these skills.
